Secondary Investments
SCP, in affiliation with PEI Funds,
seeks to make secondary investments in technology related
companies. The target investment size is $1-$5 MM, with
additional funds available for follow-on investments. We
typically seek companies that are within 2 years of an investment
monetization.
By focusing on secondary investments, our purpose is to complement the principal equity positions of our VC/private equity clients.
Examples of the type of situations in which we can invest include:
- Providing liquidity for founders or angel investors
- Providing liquidity to limited partners of private equity and venture capital funds
- Purchasing the investment positions of private equity or venture capital firms that may be
under pressure or in the process of winding down
- Purchasing the investment positions of strategic investors that may be under pressure or
in the process of winding down
